Preventive examination I

Lower Silesian Medical Centre "Dolmed" offers a wide range of medical check-ups addressed mainly to busy over-30 year olds who have no time for bouncing from one doctor to another and want to avoid waitlists. It is recommended that every healthy individual should undergo a comprehensive medical check-up to confirm their good health or identify any abnormalities at an early stage as it is better to prevent rather than cure. Check-up plans are customised. If identified early, a disease can be cured more effectively.

Having examined a patient during the first interview, the doctor decides upon the scope of lab tests to be performed. These may include:

• Neoplasmic Markers and Other Assessments (CRP, Helicobacter pylori, HBs, anty HBs, PSA, Chlamydia IgG, Mycoplasma IgG,CEA,CA125,CA 15-3),
• Spirometry,
• Chest X-ray<,/li>
• Gastroscophy,
• ECG,
• Echocardiography,
• Flow Rate Extremities,
• Cephalic Arteries Flow Rate (Doppler),
• Abdomen Ultrasound,
• Breast Ultrasound (women),
• Mammography (women),
• Uterine cervix cytology (women),
• Transvaginal Ultrasound (women).

With test results in hand the patient is referred for consultation to a cardiologist, ophthalmologist, gynaecologist, pulmonologist, diabetologist or other specialists, if the referring physician finds it necessary.
Having undergone all prescribed test, the patient is assigned to his individual therapeutic path. The entire procedure takes about 8 hours. Upon request, the patient may be accompanied by an interpreter guide.
